Knotty Alder

When freshly cut, Alder is almost white, but quickly changes color once it is exposed to air.  It becomes a light brown with a yellow or reddish hue. Alder has a fairly straight grain ​and is great for rustic furniture.

Ash

 

Ash is one of the most durable wood species and commonly used for furniture. It has a straight grain and absorbs wood stains well. Ash is beige or light brown and is very shock resistant.

  • Recommended for dining tables, coffee tables and side tables.

 

White Oak

 

Also very common in the US. White Oak has rings and straight grains. There are few knots, but there are unusual pattern that give a unique character to a piece.

Hard Maple

The grain in Hard Maple is usually straight and it also has high resistance to abrasion and wear.
